Thank you for visiting! This site is to introduce you to our brand new project. This project is an all original Bluegrass instrumental album featuring 10 brand new songs written by Steve Bruce. The album was recorded at SweetSong Nashville on Music Row by award winning producer Dennis Money. This project features Steve Bruce on banjo. Steve recruited 2 of the best players in bluegrass music in Glen Duncan, an award winning fiddler and multi-talented instrumentalist, and Ron Stewart, an IBMA award winner, on mandolin and fiddle. Steve's son, Andrew, provided the rock solid foundation with acoustic rhythm guitar and bass. Andrew also played fantastic acoustic lead guitar and dobro on this project. Steve is Lead Pastor at Faith Way Assembly Of God in LaFollette, TN. As a minister and a pastor, Steve acknowledges that these songs came from God. Pastor Steve states, "Although this is a bluegrass record, every song has a spiritual significance to me. Each song is named for a scripture passage or sermon thought I have ministered over the years. I pray you will feel His presence through these songs." All songs are published through Billy Blue Publishing/BMI and Rolling Forward Publishing/BMI, all rights reserved. Recorded at SweetSong Nashville, Music Row. Produced by Dennis Money and Steve Bruce. Distribution by The Orchard and New Day Christian Distributors. This is on full display on Steve Bruce’s new project, What I Know Now. Steve and his son Andrew have assembled some great musicians for this record and captured performances that feel authentic, absolutely nailing the groove and feel of bluegrass music in a way that really speaks to me. Based on what I know about Steve Bruce, he wants to honor the Lord in all things…including making great music. Mission accomplished!” Glen Duncan, Musician/Songwriter/Recording Artist/ Producer, Nashville, TN Steve Bruce has crafted a great Banjo Album that features brand new, original, traditional Bluegrass Instrumentals that he wrote. Great playing and musicianship throughout with exactly the right feel, soul and overall sound!! Jerry Salley, Songwriter/Producer/Artist, Billy Blue Records, Nashville, TN, “If you like bluegrass banjo, you’re gonna LOVE the new Steve Bruce project, “What I Know Now”. Called to preach the Gospel as a young man, he choose to answer that call instead of pursuing a full time job as a musician. Born and raised in one of the most musically rich areas of the country, Steve is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated five string banjo players to ever come from the East Tennessee region. This exciting instrumental album features brand new music - all originals written by Steve - and each song is a spiritually inspired tune. Put it on, turn it up, tap your foot and be Blessed!” Ron Stewart, Multiple IBMA fiddle and banjo player of the year/ Producer/Recording ArtistSteve Bruce is such a great player and guy and I am so thrilled that he asked me to play mandolin on this project and a couple on fiddle! Great musicians and did I mention he wrote absolutely awesome banjo tunes for this? You need this project! It's really good. Great job on everything and thank you for having me play on it!
